Johnson Park Revitalization Project

Groundbreaking Ceremony

April 7, 2004

The $1.3 million project will include the construction of an artificial-turf soccer field.

"We're very proud of this project," Mayor John "Jack" Zisa said in a news release. "This project will expand the recreational facilities of Hackensack, providing a place for residents to play soccer, enjoy the river, or just relax at the park." [As quoted in the 4/6/04 edition of The Record.]

The project will also include the construction of a portion of the Riverfront Walk. See more about the Riverfront Walk here.

Construction is expected to be completed by July.
